We've done two excursions with Velaa Trip, and it was the best decision we could have made (me and my dad). The service is unbeatable, and the experience unique. On the whale shark excursion, we spent hours searching for it, and they didn't stop searching until we found it. The work the team does is amazing; they are respectful of the animals, with love and patience. I'd like to mention Maria's work. We met her by chance while hiking, and from that moment on, everything was special thanks to her. On the nurse shark excursion, I have to mention the work of Farey and Kalhey, who so patiently and lovingly immortalized the moment for us with a drone and GoPro. I have nothing but good things to say about all of them, and I would definitely choose them again in the future.

We opted for them as they had fantastic tour packages, especially the All-in-one, which immediately caught our attention! We went on that one, as well as the Kaafu Atoll and the Whale Shark tour.

All the tours include: scuba pro snorkeling equipment, lunch, water, towels, photo & video underwater (gopro 11,12).

We were fortunate to engage with Juman, Suleika, Farey, Smith, Dhidhoo, Zakihte, and Mohamed, among others (although I forgot the names of some captains).

Suleika was incredibly kind and offered us advice throughout our interactions!

Mohamed, who also serves as the manager, proved to be an exceptional guide as well. We were fortunate to have him accompany us on all of our tours!

One of the things that “scared me” the most was doing the nurse shark experience. I had an encounter with 1, years ago, and got me really scared. At first, we assumed we would have to swim to the area alone and return to the boat independently. However, Mohamed takes you saftely to the shark area. Despite the initial thrill of the experience, my tension melted away within minutes, and the adrenaline rush transformed into complete relaxation.
From then on, we spent the entire day swimming with sharks. I was the last to get in the boat 🙌

The entire team demonstrates profound respect for nature and communicates dos and don’ts effectively. They possess exceptional talent in videography and diving.

They also prioritize the well-being of children on the tours, ensuring they are comfortable and cared for.

I found their attention to detail and compassion truly heartwarming!

We formed a wonderful bond and friendship with them, they became family✨ and we will cherish the memories!

So my wife and stepdaughter have been travelling India and Maldives on a budget and were drawn to 'Velaa' trips after doing their research. My wife has had lifelong fear of putting her face in the water and it seemed initially that many of the activities were off the menu, but oh no these guys with their patience and reassuring style enabled my wife to overcome her fears and have the confidence to swim with sharks, rays, whale sharks and see the reef while snorkelling. She has not stopped talking about the wonderful experiences she has had. She has been introduced to a new world because of Velaa. The pictures taken are just Incredible. I have been convinced to go and join them for a holiday as soon as I can and see the sights for myself.

So here I am two months later sitting in Maafushi having been unable to wait till next year to visit. I can confirm that everything I wrote above is true and I have now experienced the sharks, manta rays, the amazing Whale shark trip, dolphins and the trip to the shipwreck which has been the highlight for me. Velaa trips cannot be faulted and made the experience for us all. They also do the fun sports with jet ski, fun tube, paddle board and all you can think of in the water which here is beautiful. It's been the holiday of my 55 years and unlikely to be surpassed.

We did the nurse shark trip and it was better than expected. The guys were taking photos and videos of everyone, always trying to find the best way of taking them. We also had the luck to see some manta’s and we spent some time swimming with them, even if it was not expected in the planning.

This year, we visited the Maldives with our family and spent nine unforgettable days on Maafushi. I swam with dolphins, sea turtles and manta rays for the first time, it was great. We also saw skates, which we also fed.
